I shaved my head this time last year and had about 8 inches of growth from that time. Growing fast is totally an issue for me but also once I grow it out the bottom 3 inches or so are dead. And I mean D.E.A.D. frizzy, white nasty dead ends. What the heck causes that and what do I do?
I always had a good head of hair until my doctor put me on Lipitor to lower cholestrol. My hair got very thin and I didn’t link the problem right away to Lipitor. I started to wonder what new thing was I doing? I decided to call my pharmacist to ask about some side effects. Sure enough, one of the side effects was baldness in spots (alopicia arearta). I stopped the Lipitor and my hair stopped falling out. My hair never really came back to what it was though. However, my hair absolutely stopped thinning after throwing away the Liitor. I have now since dicovered that Liitor has been taken off the market. Within 3 years after this problem, my doctor put me on Avapro for high B pressure. My hair started to thin once again. It was falling out! I don’t know if the Avapro was the culperate, but I certainly got off that perscribed drug. I’m doing natural remedies to lower my blood pressure with a healthy natural diet. I am going to try the amla powder with the coconut oil and hope for the best. I’ll let you guys know if it works.

Coconut oil saved my scalp AND my hair! Everybody should try the ingredients and methods this article mentions! I used to have a very itchy scalp and my hair was very dry and brittle, due to the fact that I was on and off the swim team for a good decade, so spending one – two hours in chlorine really showed on my hair, and then of course the Saturday swim meets we had every week, doesn’t really help! I went for a good year (at the end of 2015, up to September 2016) dying my hair all kinds of colors every two months, and this did show as well. (Now given, every now and then it does, but it isn’t a constant pain anymore!) and head massages actually FEEL GOOD to me now. They used to feel weird to me but now I do it every time I get out of the shower. I don’t always do the inversion method, but I do massage my scalp a lot now. I’m surprised I’ve been so committed to getting my hair in top shape, as it takes a lot for me to be committed to anything lol let alone DEDICATED. People do need to try the inversion method, and even just massaging your scalp when you get done showering… I swear I can feel my scalp warm up after a good minute or two of massaging it. I can’t think of anything more to add to the list, but I like to take in Biotin rich foods through a smoothie in the morning as it’s absorbed by your body at a faster rate. I mix a handful of spinach and kale with half a banana, 1/4 avocado, almonds and brazil nuts. I always make sure I eat a protion of brocolli every other day. Some people recommend pumpkin seed oil for hair growth – I have not tried it myself but many blogger swear by it.
