Hi Maddie, sorry to hear about your split end woes. I can sympathise because my hair can be very weak and often starts splitting after just one use of the hair straighteners! I would suggest getting a proper trim at your hairdressers to get rid of as many dead ends as possible. Then you can start afresh with your new haircare routine. Follow the tips in the article – eat plenty of protein rich foods, use luke warm water, try the inversion method, use a good oil maybe once a week. This should all help improve the condition of your hair if nothing else.

Hi Laurie, thanks for your questions! Really happy to hear you are going to try the method. There are different ways you can do the inversion method. You can apply the coconut oil to dry, unwashed hair in the evening, leave it on overnight with a cap then wash it out in the morning. If you don’t want to wash your hair every day then you can alternate with the inversion method – one day with oil, one day without and so on. You can even do the inversion method without the oil – or just use the oil once a week. It’s completely up to you. There is no real difference between extra virgin and virgin coconut oil, as far as I am aware – this seems to be just a marketing ploy by companies, but I could be wrong. Wear a swim cap in chlorinated pools. Have you ever had a stylist ask you if you’re a swimmer? Chlorine stays in hair and makes it visibly dry and damaged. Protect your hair in the pool, or be sure to wash it with a good shampoo before the chlorine dries.
If you want to repair split ends and hair fall, you can use a deep-conditioning method. Aside from speeding up the hair growth, your hair will become much softer. You can buy once at any local store or use mayonnaise. Simply, apply some the conditioning one into the hair and allow it to soak for about 20-30 minutes. Wash it off as usual with cold water. Repeat this method once a month.
We large-haired ladies run out of conditioner so much faster than shampoo. For every quarter-size dollop of shampoo you use on your scalp, you gotta use a palm-full of conditioner on your many, many ends.
I have tried Rosemary oil and has done wonders. I also mix apple cider vinegar with aloevera and add it to my hair while I shampoo. After shampooing, I towel dry and add morocoon oil just few drops….this makes the hair smooth and removes frizz.

Yes egg is giving amazing result..but not possible to use every one (middle class fmlys) bcoz its littlebit expensive..so can I suggest them use it once in a week?? Or give me another option because there is lots of hairfall prblm.

1-4 drops of Rosemary Essential Oil in coconut oil and rub on scalp 20 minutes before shampooing. Or 1-2 drops Rosemary Essential Oil into a handful of shampoo and shampoo as usual.Do a 15 minute test of Rosemary on your forearm to see if you have an allergy.
One of the reasons ur hair is falling is because u wash it everyday. That makes ur hair fall Very Very badly. I’ll give u some tips that worked for me. I had very curly, thin and short hair but now I have thick hair which falls to my waist! This is wat I use: castor oil mixed with almond oil (or olive oil) I use this everyday or sometimes after every 2 days. And also the shampoo and conditioner that I use and realllllllly helped me are Mane ‘n Tail- if u live in uae or india (asia basically) u can get them at Spinney’s- and I use egg for my hair and if ur growing out ur hair then STAY AWAY FROM HEAT (hair straighteners, blow dryers etc) because trust me, if u use heat on ur hair it will not grow quickly. Especially for people with curly hair. And do not use hair sprays or heat protectants they really damage ur hair and make it dry.
