I have these really short hairs along my parting at the top of my head That look very odd. They don’t fit in with the rest of my hair(which is shoulder length) and really want to grow them. I would eat plenty of protein-rich foods, treat your hair to a weekly hair mask on the ends and gentle scalp massage. Try not to use any heated tools on your hair, and wash it using lukewarm water – avoid burning hot water – and your hair should be feeling better soon.
Hey! In somewhere in may I had got a layered hair cut. I liked it but then started not liking it after 3 months so I cut it again into a layers. when the stylist cut my it was horrible. Absolutely horrible. I felt like crying because my hair was ruined. My friends made fun of me because of my hair. After 4 months it grew. And I cut it straight but the hairs on the top of my head were still very short. (About 4 inches difference between my top hair and low hair) It still looks horrible so I had to clip the top hair up. The next month later I again cut my hair straight. This all happened in December and now it’s 23ed Feb 2016. My hair still looks weird. I’m desperate for my top hair to grow faster. I have just tried to heat up coconut oil and message my scalp with it. I also tie my hair into two plaits. Could you please give me some tips on how to grow my top hair faster? Hi Meredith. It sounds to me like the chlorine is definitely damaging your hair. Are you using a water-tight cap when swimming? Additionally, are you having it cut regularly? Chlorine will damage your hair, making it more prone to splitting. Regular haircuts will prevent this. I would recommend using a weekly hair treatment, such as coconut oil or a specific hair mask from LUSH to reinject nutrients back into your hair. I hope this helps. Thanks, Steph

The one thing I would mention is that when doing the inversion method, it’s extremely important to hang your head low. You cannot really stop that. You are welcome to dye your hair, though. A balanced diet and exercise with daily nutrients will additionally keep your hair healthy and might delay some color changes but mostly it’s genetics so you can’t do a lot. It never hurts to focus on keeping your hair healthy though.
Hi Emily, thanks for getting in touch. I would definitely do the inversion method using a scalp massager every 4 weeks. I can’t think of anything more to add to the list, but I like to take in Biotin rich foods through a smoothie in the morning as it’s absorbed by your body at a faster rate. I mix a handful of spinach and kale with half a banana, 1/4 avocado, almonds and brazil nuts. I always make sure I eat a protion of brocolli every other day. Some people recommend pumpkin seed oil for hair growth – I have not tried it myself but many blogger swear by it.

I wish my hair daily because I am a blonde and I workout most days of the week so my hair gets drenched in sweat (it’s not ideal) but I only shampoo the roots and hold the rest out of the way. I use regular conditioner and also leave in conditioner.

DR. Axe. I need to thank you for a article you published 3-4 months ago on hair loss. Before reading your article, I tried every supplement out there. Nothing helped. I always had thick hair and for about a year the fallout loss was getting so bad I thought I would have nothing left at all. I hope some of the guys here try what has worked for me.
