So I may be the only male in this section but what the heck. My hairstyle is the very bland side parting/quiff which I’ve had for years now and I just want a change! I get regular haircuts which may be every 2-3 weeks but it seems that if I leave my hair longer than this it just stops growing on the sides especially. Any tips would be appreciated as I am hoping to just grow the sides to get an evenly proportioned haircut!!
Hi Nalanie. We’re happy to hear you’ll be giving the inversion mehtod a go, and thank you for your question. The inversion method should be done for 1 week, with 2 weeks break, then repeated. I hope this helps 🙂
You don’t have to use the oil, but it will help condition so your hair will feel stronger and shinier than ever. For best results, get your hair trimmed before you do the Inversion Method. If you have split ends, you may not be able to see the full growth as the splits in the hair make it look shorter.
This here will change your haircare regime. Beauty bloggers and YouTube vloggers across the world have been raving about it for months, and it really can work. I’ve tried the Inversion Method and my hair grew over an inch in a week. Now it might not work for everyone, but it’s definitely worth a try. Just make sure you measure your hair before and after for conclusive results, and look for new hairs around your hairline – they may be slightly static and will stand on end.
Sangeetha… I have fine blond hair. I have tried 100’s of products. Some hairdressers over process. (if you ask for a weave, ask for 5 foils, not a partial or full weave) avoid over processing. And, do not use that hot flat iron on your hair.
Biotin and pantothenic acid (vitamin B5) have been used as alternative treatments for hair loss. Biotin benefits your hair by rebuilding hair shingles that have been damaged from over-shampooing, exposure to the sun, blow-drying and ironing. Vitamin B5 supports the adrenal glands, which helps stimulate hair growth.
To get long thick and super soft hair massage organic coconut oil in to your hair 2-4 times a week (leave in 10-25 mins) wash out with shampoo. do this untill hair is growing and healthy. ( No split-ends ) and reduse to 2-4 times a month.
It is truly shocking just how many people skipped reading the article and just went straight to the comments to ask what advice there was to help them grow their hair. I have to wonder if they are just that lazy or did they assume the better recommendations were being withheld for some reason (which would be a ridiculous thing to do) and the article just gave generic advice? Did they imagine the writer saved the best advice for themselves but it would then be shared if asked about it in a comment? The article and all the comments took me just over 6 minutes to read so it’s no wonder that the school system is being criticized and that there is a definate lag behind other countries when it comes to education. It’s crazy. Have a great day!
It will all depend on preference and what your needs are. Egg is great for hair but is also drying, so if you have drier hair you’ll want more oil to water, but less than egg. If you have oily hair use more water to oil, but again, less than the amount you have in egg. I’d say use a tablespoon at a time and perhaps try a 1:2 or if you have longer hair 2:4/4:8 etc.
Comprised mainly of smaller medium-chain fatty acids, the oil is also able to penetrate more deeply and faster than most other conditioners, and because it’s 100% natural you can use it as much as you like without any damage.
“Others are taking hair follicles out of human scalp and growing them with dermal papilla cells,” Cotsarelis says. “If they grow in culture, you might be able to recombine them with skin cells and form new follicles. This would let you expand the number of follicles you get for a hair transplant. This may not be that far off — five to 10 years, maybe. There’s very good evidence you will be able to do that.”
Taking aloe vera juice internally for starters is one of the things I recommend, so drink about a half a cup, twice a day. Now you can buy aloe vera juice in small proportions, but I found, bang for your buck, getting a whole gallon of aloe vera juice is the better way to go. Beyond thickening your hair, it’ll also give you healthier skin and nails.
Coconut oil is great for your hair and it’s easy to get thicker hair when you use this tropical oil as a treatment. Having a bottle of coconut oil is highly recommended if you wish to take care of your hair naturally and have it looking its best. There are proteins present in coconut oil that are responsible for adding strength to the hair, much like how the proteins in eggs work for treating thin hair.
Hii Anushka. From my school days I have short hair only. Now my age 22. I consulted doctor, I spent more money and I disappointed with my hair growth. Feeling bad when my friends kidding me using my hair so plz help me. Is this tips makes me feel good???
Hair grows at 0.50 inches on average per month which to me sounds like a lot but in reality why doesn’t it feel it? Well, things like over-styling, bad diet and not taking good care of your hair can result in split ends and breakages which shorten the length of your hair.
Ive been using warm olive oil all over more about 30mins or even over night. Of course washout in the morning. . Also may-o is another great one and coconut oil. Love it. And i like the vo5 hot oil treatments… its helped so im passing it on ladies enjoy and i hope u like the results i do….
Hi Ife. Unfortunately, we’ve never tried Indian Hemp, so we can’t advise on this. Let us know how you get on! Hep oil is notoriously rich in nutrients, so I’m confident it will nourish your hair 🙂 Thanks Steph
Hi Gabrielle, Sorry to hear you’re insecure about your hair. To find out if you’re losing hair, you need to go to the doctors or see a specialist. They will look at your scalp for any evidence of this, including bald patches. Most of the time, hair gets thinner towards the ends as it splits. Regular cuts along with hair masks should help with this. I hope this helps 🙂
Hi Smita, Great to hear you are going to try the inversion method, let me know how it goes and don’t forget to measure it before and after. I don’t have any pics but I am definitely going to take some the next time I do the inversion method and add them to this post. I also get a lot of hair loss, try massaging very lightly and reduce the amount of times you wash your hair every week. Perhaps try washing your hair every 2 days?
For this cut, I used Kevin Murphy Body Mass to blow out while using the large Varis round brush. We finished with Kevin Murphy Bedroom.Hair for some extra texture. I recommend getting a trim every eight weeks to maintain the bounce in the layers.
To the ladies asking about lightening your eye color–it’s not possible, don’t put anything in your eyes –or you are liable to harm them. Love the eyes you have, or invest in contact lenses to change the color of the iris, but don’t believe anyone if they tell you that you can lighten your eye color.
Hi Jodie. Glad to hear you’re going to try some of our hair-growth tips! I would start with 1 heaped tablespoon of coconut oil and go from there – you want to make sure your hair is fully saturated. Brand-wise, organic, unrefined is best. Coconut oil is only available in solid form – it’s solid at room temperature. To liquify it, simply massage in your hands before applying to hair. I hope this helps 🙂
However, be wary of excessive iron supplementation. It can cause iron overload and should be avoided. Patients who don’t respond to iron replacement therapy should undergo additional testing to identify other underlying causes of iron deficiency and hair loss.
Experimental evidence suggests that oxidative stress plays a major role in the aging process. Reactive oxygen species or free radicals are highly reactive molecules that can directly damage cellular structural membranes, lipids, proteins and DNA.
Hi Julia, sorry to hear that. For the time being I would try not to concentrate on hair growth and more about treating your hair well and getting it back to good health. I would eat plenty of protein-rich foods, treat your hair to a weekly hair mask on the ends and gentle scalp massage. Try not to use any heated tools on your hair, and wash it using lukewarm water – avoid burning hot water – and your hair should be feeling better soon.
Some blogs may recommend natural products and the ‘no-poo’ method, which involves cutting out all haircare and relying on baking soda to clean your hair. I am a big fan of Coconut Oil and Olive Oil as both beauty and haircare products, but I found the Lee Stafford range to really work. Coupled with the other elements, I noticed hair growth, new hair growth and also my hair was stronger and shinier than ever.
Layers on a chin-length cut will give dimension to unwanted fluffiness and a silky wax or balm, like Shu Uemura Art of Hair Touch of Gloss, weighs down the hair a little bit to anchor the pouf while still letting the hair move, says Santiago.
Sure, snapping a hair tie (or two) every time you try to pull your hair up into a ponytail will understandably make your friends, family, co-workers, and the stranger standing next to you in the public bathroom mirror envious that you have thick, long strands. But, is your hair actually thick or do you just have a lot of it, and how important is it to know the difference?
I have also learned that cats like to step on laptops at a bad time, thus causing distractions. It would be better written as “I have learned to never take anyone who can’t spell seriously”. Shame on me.
I’ve tried these remedies and I’m very confident to say they really work especially the egg treatment. I did it for a couple of weeks and I could see a huge difference in my hair. I had thin brittle hair but now my hair is stronger and thicker. I’d recommend these remedies to anyone with hair problems.
