During the telogen or resting phase (also known as shedding phase) the follicle remains dormant for one to four months. Ten to fifteen percent of the hairs on one’s head are in this phase of growth at any given time. In this phase the epidermal cells lining the follicle channel continue to grow as normal and may accumulate around the base of the hair, temporarily anchoring it in place and preserving the hair for its natural purpose without taxing the body’s resources needed during the growth phase.
Hi Ivyena. You can leave it on overnight under a shower cap if you wish, which will serve as a deeply-moisturising hair mask. However, I wouldn’t leave it on during the day. The oil will stain your clothes and can also make your hair look very greasy and unclean. I hope this helps 🙂

My was really good and healthy 3 years ago. with time I started ironing my and using heat a lot so my is thinning its weak and I also feel like its lifeless (although its not). I started growing it by using natural oils and it did work but my hair is naturally oily and it made more oily and greasy but I did not care because it worked but at some point my hair stopped responding to the natural oil treatments and i also tried watching my diet but I think I was doing it wrong. When I see my hair 3 years back it was so healthy it was not oily or greasy it was thick. I hope you can tell me about more treatments!!!

My hair actually changes color. It is sometimes red, sometimes brown, and sometimes blond. I don’t know what color it is. It’s naturally very curly, but not ringlets, spirals. It is very, very, soft. I got a pixie cut about 4 days ago and I’m regretting it so much, yes my hair is healthier but I HATE IT!!! I want it to be at least at my shoulders rn. Food really is the key to growing healthy hair, almonds and avocados are both delicious and boost your hair growth. You should also try getting some broccoli into your diet if you haven’t already.
