My hair returns colour when I get regular B-12 injections. I was anemic so maybe this has something to do with it. My mom uses ACV and takes black strap molasses regularly and at 88 still has some black hair. Good luck.
So can you almost garuntee that the methods will make my hair grow. Fast. I would like my hair to grow longer and i haven’t really found anything. But the oil massage seems interesting. And about how long do you think my hair would grow using your methods, and about how long will it take?
I had long thick n shining hairs in school days.. now I’m 20yrs old. now my hairs became very very thin.. so plzz help to get thick hairs. I’m staying in hostel so I can’t use egg. plz suggest me any shampoo and oil
Researchers at Tehran University of Medical Sciences in Iran studied the relationship between iron body status and different types of hair loss. They conducted an analytical case-control study to assess whether diffuse telogen hair loss in women between the ages of 15 and 45 is associated with iron deficiency — 30 women with documented telogen hair loss were compared with 30 women without hair loss.
Bobs don’t always have to be layered. If you want to celebrate your thick hair and make it even bigger, get it stacked. The hairdresser term for it is “graduated”. This haircut will give you a lot of volume. To add even more volume, curl it!
The speed at which your hair grows can depend on two things: genetics and the shape of your follicles. Asian hair is on average the thickest and most coarse hair compared to Caucasian and African hair. Now I am of Asian descent but my mother has very thin hair while my father has very thick hair. I have a combination of both their hair so I have thick hair strands but unfortunately not much of them!
Hi Dr Moore. Thanks a lot for getting in touch. Your hair sounds absolutely amazing – it’s what many of us dream of having! We’d be very interested in seeing the results once you’ve finished – please do send them in! Thanks a lot 🙂
It is truly shocking just how many people skipped reading the article and just went straight to the comments to ask what advice there was to help them grow their hair. I have to wonder if they are just that lazy or did they assume the better recommendations were being withheld for some reason (which would be a ridiculous thing to do) and the article just gave generic advice? Did they imagine the writer saved the best advice for themselves but it would then be shared if asked about it in a comment? The article and all the comments took me just over 6 minutes to read so it’s no wonder that the school system is being criticized and that there is a definate lag behind other countries when it comes to education. It’s crazy. Have a great day!
Female Pattern Hair Loss — Female pattern hair loss or baldness occurs when hair follicles shrink over time. Typically, each time a normal hair follicle is shed, it’s then replaced by hair that’s equal in size. For women with female pattern hair loss, the new hair is finer and thinner. The hair follicles start by shrinking in this way, and eventually they quit growing altogether. This can be caused by aging, changes in androgen (male hormone) levels, or a family history of male or female pattern baldness. (18, 19)
Sangeetha… I have fine blond hair. I have tried 100’s of products. Some hairdressers over process. (if you ask for a weave, ask for 5 foils, not a partial or full weave) avoid over processing. And, do not use that hot flat iron on your hair.
What a great site, this has got to be the best ever out there for something that is free and full of everything under the sun to do with health he is such a good man to share his great knowledge with us free of charge he is like having a Doctor in your hands
Just a thought to all of those posting with thinning hair. First, have a blood test. Be sure your thyroid is not off wack. This solved part of my problem. But, my hair was damaged from weaves and stess. Now my hair is shoulder length, I insist on only 5 foils when I need a bit of a color lift. Hairdressers (if the are good), will do this for you at a reduced rate. On a trip to France I started using L’occitane hair repair shampoo in the hotel. My hair was thicker. Came home and started using their products for damaged hair. Expensive, but worth it. But, better still….I tried the banana & oilve old hair mask a month ago. This is even better (in terms of results) than L’occitane hair products. Now I use the banana, oilve oil hair mask a couple of times a week. It is simple and inexpensive. Forget the hair extensions. I am 65 and my hair is thicker and healthier than it was in my 40’s. I have fine blond hair. I have tried 100′s of products. Some hairdressers over process. (if you ask for a weave, ask for 5 foils, not a partial or full weave) avoid over processing. And, do not use that hot flat iron on your hair.
Yes egg is giving amazing result..but not possible to use every one (middle class fmlys) bcoz its littlebit expensive..so can I suggest them use it once in a week?? Or give me another option because there is lots of hairfall prblm.
Hi Maddie. First off, a big well done to you for donating – how brave and thoughtful of you. Secondly, I think shoulder length hair can be beautiful, so don’t worry about looking nice in those wedding pictures. I would recommend the inversion method, 100%. The coconut oil is mainly for hair repair and strength, so if you’re struggling for time, I’d opt to increase growth-rate through stimulation of the scalp. Let us know how you get on! 🙂
Oh no sorry to hear that, how frustrating for you! I definitely recommend the scalp massage using some natural oils like coconut or olive oil. Try this every day for 5 minutes once a day for a week and let me know how you get on.
This hairstyle is layered short and tight on the sides and in the back. It is longer and layered on the top, then connected to the hair on the sides and in the back. It is shorter in the back and gradually gets longer to the front, making the pieces instantly function as a trendy fringe.
Hi Siana, great questions. From what I know and have read, the scalp massage helps increase blood circulation to the hair follicles. The pressure applies warms the skin and open up the blood vessels to increase flow and boost circulation, but the results are diminished if this is done every day. It should be done in short bursts – for example for seven day then break for 3 weeks – if you want to see rapid growth. If you perform scalp massage every day then I don’t think this will damage your hair particularly, but it may encourage hairs to fall out depending how vigorously you massage your scalp. I hope this helps!
I have a mental disorder that causes me to pull my hair when i’m stressed out or when i have really bad anxiety. I’m wondering if these methods would work. i’m deciding to shave my hair off completely so i can grow even together. but would the methods work?
I started eating Chia seeds and I have been amazed at how thick my hair has come in at the age of 56. 2 TBLS. a day soaked in liquid first. Read on the web all the wonderful things Chia seeds can do! IT’S ALL TRUE!!
Coconut oil saved my scalp AND my hair! Everybody should try the ingredients and methods this article mentions! I used to have a very itchy scalp and my hair was very dry and brittle, due to the fact that I was on and off the swim team for a good decade, so spending one – two hours in chlorine really showed on my hair, and then of course the Saturday swim meets we had every week, doesn’t really help! I went for a good year (at the end of 2015, up to September 2016) dying my hair all kinds of colors every two months, and this did show as well. My hair also grew very slow due to how unhealthy it was. I started doing coconut oil masks (with yoghurt and honey) once a week (on and off for three months) and my hair has grown close to two inches, in three months! My hair feels sososososo much better ever since I started taking care of it and it has shown! My boyfriend’s mother used to be a hair stylist and she said a couple weeks ago that my hair looks better than ever, and this is only month three of my hair care journey! I plan on getting a perm done hopefully by September of next year, hoping that these treatments can get my hair is top shape before I kill it off again. But yeah, coconut oil is pretty much my safe haven to all my hair problems! Especially the itchy scalp problem. I was AMAZED that my scalp didn’t itch 30 minutes later, the night I put the coconut oil mask in my hair… it hasn’t itched since! (Now given, every now and then it does, but it isn’t a constant pain anymore!) and head massages actually FEEL GOOD to me now. They used to feel weird to me but now I do it every time I get out of the shower. I don’t always do the inversion method, but I do massage my scalp a lot now. I’m surprised I’ve been so committed to getting my hair in top shape, as it takes a lot for me to be committed to anything lol let alone DEDICATED. People do need to try the inversion method, and even just massaging your scalp when you get done showering… I swear I can feel my scalp warm up after a good minute or two of massaging it. That my friend, is magic lol.
According to a research about the effects of stress on your hair , stress can be one of the main causes of hair loss. So, you should try to calm down your life, and you will find that your hair starts growing thicker. For example, you can try meditation that may help you find how to deal with your stress better.
Well kimp, English that isn’t in the form of broken texting would have a better result. But to be serious you can’t cure being naturally bald just slowing the process of thinning and balding faster then you would. So in short this cant help something your body’s genetic code gave up on, as it eans as you age whatever random code is at the bottom breaks and dies off in some cases it’s hair color or eye sight and yes balding. hope this helped clear up your problem.
Like many of my follicly challenged brothers, I can remember the exact time I started losing my hair. You may not believe it to look at my proudly gleaming forehead now, but I used to have long hair down to my chin, which I’d often dye black or beautiful, shimmering obsidian, which was the fashion at the time (for people into Linkin Park). Yet, slowly but surely, the long black or shimmering obsidian hairs would start piling up on my pillow every morning, and in an act of defiance against what I considered my own biological inferiority, I shaved it all off, and have had a skinhead ever since.
Alopecia areata often starts suddenly and causes patchy hair loss in children and young adults. This condition may result in complete baldness (alopecia totalis). But in about 90% of people with the condition, the hair returns within a few years.
The areas where hairs do protrude (and are visible above the skin) include the armpits, face, around the genitals, the front of the chest, the back, and most profusely, on the scalp of the head. A scalp typically contains about 100,000 hair follicles.
Olive oil is full of what your hair and skin need to stay healthy and vibrant. Keeping a bottle of olive oil and in the bathroom is highly recommended. People have been using olive oil for years to promote thicker hair and healthy skin. Olive oil contains the omega-3 fatty-acids that your hair needs to become thicker.
Thanx alot for all the great information. It’s alalways nice to know there’s hope to better yourself with cheap home remedies rather than spending money you can’t afford at the stores. So thank-you.:-)
I’ve heard people proclaim before that they can’t believe that something like hair loss hasn’t already been solved, yet we can put a man on Mars, and we can destroy entire cities with nuclear weapons.
Hi Alice. WOW! We can’t believe how long your hair is – you sound almost like Rapunzel. The inversion method really is amazing, if you’re prepared to put the effort in – and it sounds like you are. Great stuff, keep up the good work 🙂
Loved your article on hair loss. Have ten year old daughter-cancer pt who has been cancer free/off treatment for 3 years. Chemo /radiation has destroyed growth and any new hair growth.mostly bald for years now. How would you offer the above in child dosing? She takes omega3 and vitamin d along with multi and probiotic and eats well.
Follicles are a mammalian skin organ and along with stem cells, they help produce and grow hair. Your hair begins to grow from the root in the bottom of the follicle which is made up of cells of protein.
Another option is to mix one-quarter cup of warm water in one-half cup of Indian gooseberry powder and let it sit for about 10 minutes. Apply the paste on your hair and leave it on for 15 to 20 minutes before rinsing it off. Do not shampoo your hair for a few hours. Follow this remedy every few weeks.
I am dealing with hairline close to my forehead the hair just isn’t wanting to grow at all. Several people have said that my hair is damaged and fried an that there is nothing that I can do; I have been eating a ton of fruits and vegetables but I haven’t noticed a difference at all what more can I do for my hair, I am open to any suggestions or ideas that might help because I have been extremely embarrassed about my hair I’ve been walking around wearing a giant black headband.
