My hair actually changes color. It is sometimes red, sometimes brown, and sometimes blond. I don’t know what color it is. It’s naturally very curly, but not ringlets, spirals. It is very, very, soft. Hi, I’ve tried every method in this article, but my hair doesn’t seem to want to grow. My hair is super healthy, but it’s only growing as slow as it did before. I’ve been using these methods for about two months, and my hair has grown about 3/4 of an inch. I have not exposed my hair to heat products whatsoever, or any bleach or coloring products. I have also tried warm argan oil, which doesn’t seem to make it want to grow either. Are there any other methods that might help me??

I know this is not really part of the article, but if my hair has lots of split ends that reaches to my scalp, do I have no choice but to chop it off? My hair is at shoulder length and it has been like that for 2 years and it’s the same length. My hair is not that fried but it’s pretty damaged. I did the unthinkable and I chopped off the side hairs underneath to let them grow healthy and fresh again. It kinda looks stupid now but will this help me of getting the short hairs long again? Direct sun exposure is the best way to absorb vitamin D, plus you can detox your body with the sun. Sit in the sun for roughly 10–15 minutes to absorb about 10,000 units of natural vitamin D. Topical application of vitamin D might also play a role in the restoration of hair cycle dysfunction in patients with alopecia areata. To increase your vitamin D levels with food sources, eat vitamin D-rich foods like halibut, mackerel, eel, salmon, whitefish, swordfish, maitake mushrooms and portabella mushrooms.
Listen…make a paste one night before applying. The paste consists of Henna powder, reetha powder, Amla powder and shikakai powder. Now boil methi seeds and tea leaves in water. Now mix all the above powders together with the help of this water and yogurt. Keep it overnight. Right before applying, take one or two eggs according to the length of your hair and beat it properly. Now apply the mask. Keep it for 3-4 hours. Wash it with cold water. Only with cold water. No shampoo, nothing. Now oil your hair properly after your hair dries. Use shampoo the next day. Try once a week. You will see the difference in two months.

Hi Emily, thanks for getting in touch. I would definitely do the inversion method using a scalp massager every 4 weeks. I can’t think of anything more to add to the list, but I like to take in Biotin rich foods through a smoothie in the morning as it’s absorbed by your body at a faster rate. I mix a handful of spinach and kale with half a banana, 1/4 avocado, almonds and brazil nuts. I always make sure I eat a protion of brocolli every other day. Some people recommend pumpkin seed oil for hair growth – I have not tried it myself but many blogger swear by it.

I always had a good head of hair until my doctor put me on Lipitor to lower cholestrol. My hair got very thin and I didn’t link the problem right away to Lipitor. I started to wonder what new thing was I doing? I decided to call my pharmacist to ask about some side effects. Sure enough, one of the side effects was baldness in spots (alopicia arearta). I stopped the Lipitor and my hair stopped falling out. My hair never really came back to what it was though. However, my hair absolutely stopped thinning after throwing away the Liitor. I have now since dicovered that Liitor has been taken off the market. Within 3 years after this problem, my doctor put me on Avapro for high B pressure. My hair started to thin once again. It was falling out! I don’t know if the Avapro was the culperate, but I certainly got off that perscribed drug. I’m doing natural remedies to lower my blood pressure with a healthy natural diet. I am going to try the amla powder with the coconut oil and hope for the best. I’ll let you guys know if it works.
Hi Clare, You need to massage the oil into the roots of your hair to reap the full effects. It’s best to leave the oil on for a while in order to allow it to penetrate your hair follicles properly. I hope this helps 🙂
