To use egg on your hair, beat two large eggs in a bowl until they are whisked well together. Apply this all over your dry hair and let sit for at least twenty minutes. Proceed to rinse this well, applying a light shampoo to get the smell of the egg out of your hair. This method should be used at least four times a week to gain the best results.
Alopecia areata often starts suddenly and causes patchy hair loss in children and young adults. This condition may result in complete baldness (alopecia totalis). But in about 90% of people with the condition, the hair returns within a few years.
Layers on a chin-length cut will give dimension to unwanted fluffiness and a silky wax or balm, like Shu Uemura Art of Hair Touch of Gloss, weighs down the hair a little bit to anchor the pouf while still letting the hair move, says Santiago.
Hello, I have been struggling with my hair for about 4 months now. Back in May I had decided to go back to my natural hair color from being platinum blonde. My natural is an ashy dark dirty blonde. Unfortunately doing it at home was my first mistake, and I ended up with red hair. I went to my old high school which has a salon with students working in it, which was my second mistake. They got my hair to a more manageable color but cut off around 3-4 inches when I only wanted 1 inch off. I was devastated.. and my hair was very very dry and thin and lifeless everywhere except about 5 inches on the top of my head. Since then I have added a lot more blonde highlights to get closer to my natural color as it wasn’t going a weird orange red color from the previous red dye. It has gotten a lot more moisturized and feels much less dry since then, but regardless is still very stringy and lifeless looking and very hard to style and maintain volume. The natural state of my hair has never been very volumous , but when I had bleached it the texture changed and it felt a lot thicker. I desperately want that hair back but cannot bleach my hair in this state.. so the only thing I can really do is grow it all out again till I have my natural 100% hair back to bleach it again , with caution to have minimal damage. I have been taking hairbrush vitamins, a b-complex vitamin, as well as trying to drink more water and eat more of the right foods. I’ve also recently started doing a castor oil and coconut oil leave in treatment, which has made it feel stronger. Do you have any advice for me? I am just so desperate to feel some weight to my hair.. it feels like air when I move my head back and forth and doesn’t even feel like it’s there. I also have parts on the top of my head on the right side that got burned off from bleaching back in January this year, they have grown about 6 inches out now but look very odd and stick out unless I straighten them with light heat. I don’t straighten any other parts of my hair anymore as I used to every day and that definitely contributed to the damage I face now. I used to have such beautiful long healthy hair and my confidence has mostly diminished because of all this. I am just desperate to feel like myself again. Thank you for taking the time to read 🙂
Hey! In somewhere in may I had got a layered hair cut. I liked it but then started not liking it after 3 months so I cut it again into a layers. when the stylist cut my it was horrible. Absolutely horrible. I felt like crying because my hair was ruined. My friends made fun of me because of my hair. After 4 months it grew. And I cut it straight but the hairs on the top of my head were still very short. (About 4 inches difference between my top hair and low hair) It still looks horrible so I had to clip the top hair up. The next month later I again cut my hair straight. This all happened in December and now it’s 23ed Feb 2016. My hair still looks weird. I’m desperate for my top hair to grow faster. I have just tried to heat up coconut oil and message my scalp with it. I also tie my hair into two plaits. Could you please give me some tips on how to grow my top hair faster? I want it Atleast 4 inches long but quickly. If you know Lindsey Stirling you’ll see that her top hair is very short from her bottom hair. Please reply as soon as.possible.
This bob is asymmetric and has a deep side part. The heavier side of the part is layered more to make sure it isn’t too bulky. The lighter side of the part isn’t layered as much since there isn’t as much hair on that side.
Loved your article on hair loss. Have ten year old daughter-cancer pt who has been cancer free/off treatment for 3 years. Chemo /radiation has destroyed growth and any new hair growth.mostly bald for years now. How would you offer the above in child dosing? She takes omega3 and vitamin d along with multi and probiotic and eats well.
Studies are still new on the effects of caffeine on hair growth, but a cell study found that caffeine may have growth-promoting effects on hair. Using hair products with caffeine, like this shampoo by AB Crew, as an ingredient may help.
Hey there, dandruff and an unhealthy scalp could be contributing to your hair problems. I would start with trying to get rid of the dandruff, there are quite a few over-the-counter treatments or you could find a natural remedy (apple cider vinegar perhaps?) to help. It’s really important to maintain a healthy scalp so I would recommend doing this, cutting back on how many times you wash your hair as if you wash it more frequently it could make the problem worse. Try a little head massage every few days too, drink plenty of water and a healthy balanced diet with plenty of protein. It may take time, but hopefully, you will start to see an improvement – let me know how you get on!
Soak two to three tablespoons of fenugreek seeds in water for eight to 10 hours. Grind the soaked seeds to make a fine paste. You can also mix two teaspoons of coconut milk in it. Apply the paste on your hair and scalp and allow it to sit for about 30 minutes before washing your hair with lukewarm water. When done weekly on a regular basis, this remedy will prevent dry scalp and help you enjoy thicker hair.
As mentioned, i’ve tried all kinds of natural and prescription solutions with minimal results. In addition I suffer from Hashimotos disease which may or may not be playing a part in my hair loss. I currently take levothyroxine daily to cope with this. I’ve always had a suspicion that since taking this drug for the past few years, i’ve lost more hair. It may just be a coincidence in timing.

Hair is considered to be a major component of an individual’s general appearance, and the psychological impact of hair loss results in detrimental changes in self-esteem and self-worth. It also affects a large number of people, as 50 percent of men are affected by genetic hair loss by the age of 50. In women, the major cause of hair loss before the age of 50 is nutritional, with 30 percent affected. The main cause of hair loss for women appears to be depleted iron stores, but corrections of these imbalances can stop the excessive hair loss within a few months. (15)
Castor oil includes Vitamin E, minerals and proteins that work excellent for hair growth. Blood circulation is increased to the scalp, which aids in increasing hair growth thanks to its ricinoleic acid and omega-6 essential fatty acids. In addition, it nourishes the scalp and strengthens the roots.
If you want an asymmetric look for your bob but aren’t ready to commit, wear one side behind your ear. It will give the illusion of an asymmetric haircut. Once you get the hang of it, you’ll be ready to visit your hairstylist and actually get the haircut.
When applied over the scalp, rosemary oil is believed to increase cellular metabolism that stimulates hair growth. A 2013 study conducted at Kinki University in Japan found that rosemary leaf extract improved hair regrowth in mice that experienced hair regrowth interruption induced by testosterone treatment. How do I tell if I am losing hair. My hair used to be really curly and beautiful and really thick . Now just starting a few months ago i have noticed a huge difference in my hair. It is not as curly it is more wavy and I find it really thin. Like my hair is really long i just feel like i do not have that much of it . As in many strands of it. Although people say i have a on of hair. I do not want to end up having to get a wig. What should I do? How can I make my hair thicker? Please help me and answer ASAP I am getting really concerned. It is making me feel very insecure about myself .
Scalp scientist (trichologist) Shirley McDonald recently told Business Insider that other cosmetic fixes like hair transplants are getting much better, and instead of looking like “doll’s hair,” as they used to, they’re getting quite convincing.
“Scalp reduction is to cut balding scalp out and suture the remaining skin together to reduce the bald area,” Kaufman says. “After several of these, you have a smaller area to transplant. But you leave a scar that is visible and needs to be transplanted into to be invisible.”
You don’t have to use the oil, but it will help condition so your hair will feel stronger and shinier than ever. For best results, get your hair trimmed before you do the Inversion Method. If you have split ends, you may not be able to see the full growth as the splits in the hair make it look shorter.
I wish my hair daily because I am a blonde and I workout most days of the week so my hair gets drenched in sweat (it’s not ideal) but I only shampoo the roots and hold the rest out of the way. I use regular conditioner and also leave in conditioner.
Hi, I cut my hair REALLY short almost two years ago and I’m desperate for it to grow back. My goal is to have hair that passes my hips. Right now it’s at my mid/lower back and really is in that awkward stage of short/long. How do I make it grow to my hips by summer?
Thank u very much, I tried the avocado yesterday and I’ve already noticed the diffrence, oh and the tip of using cold water to wash my hair and my drier on low heat also contibuted massively. Thanks and God bless
Scarring alopecias result in permanent loss of hair. Inflammatory skin conditions  (cellulitis, folliculitis, acne), and other skin disorders (such as some forms of lupus and lichen planus) often result in scars that destroy the ability of the hair to regenerate. Hot combs and hair too tightly woven and pulled can also result in permanent hair loss.
Hello there. I used to have shoulder length hair but recently, after seeing my friend having a bob cut , i accompanied her to have my hair , cut like that too. But now I miss my long locks. I hope this helps 🙁

Love your blog, informative and very interesting, especially to those people who are into taking good care of their hair. I agree with you about coconut oil, I’ve been using it for years now and it never stop to amaze me especially to what it did to my hair. Thank you for sharing.
I recommend this look for clients with thin to medium hair. I honestly think this looks great on all face shapes and fits well into a busy lifestyle. It is perfect for professionals that are on the move with not a lot of time to spare in the mornings.
Aloe vera is natural gift . it is used for so many home remedies. It is not only used for beauty tips. but also used as medicine for whole body. It reduces our body heat. thank you giveing a usefull tips.
Hi Kathleen I’m not too sure to be honest, if you’re experiencing some hair loss through medication then you would not want to increase it by vigorously massaging your head. I would try the rest of the tips and perhaps a more gentler scalp massage?
I have tried everything to make my hair grow faster for the past 5 years now, I know it takes patience but everything I try damages and dries it out. I’m uneducated about hair care and I could really use the help because I miss my long locks, anything I can do to speed up the process a little, I heard hemp oil and argan oil are good oils for your hair but I want to help my hair without going extravagant in price
Thanks for the comments! Happy to hear you like the blog post. Coconut oil is fantastic, I love it for many uses. Make sure you check out my article on the other uses – https://experthometips.com/21-clever-uses-for-coconut-oil-that-may-surprise-you
The power of nature is unsurpassed for giving us everything we need to look and feel our best. Women and men alike have been using natural remedies to treat various health concerns and keep themselves happy for thousands of years. Using natural home remedies offers a safe alternative to chemical based products that often contain toxic ingredients that may lead to harmful side effects. There are ways to get thicker hair, and it doesn’t have to cost you your health or a big dent in your pocketbook.
My favorite part of this look is that no texturizing or weight was taken out. We embraced the fullness and simply took the weight out by adding lots of soft layering around the face and long layers through the back.
My hair has always taken forever to grow, so I am excited to try these methods. I have thin hair and not a lot of it. My hair is just below my shoulders, how much coconut oil do I use and is there any certain brand you recommend? Do you get the oil that is in solid or liquid form? I look forward to any useful additional tips you are able to provide.
