I think that they should because all of these things provide nutrients to your hair and your scalp is very needy so you just have to be careful. I have been in the Beauty Industry for over 30 years and coconut oil should work the most;I HIGHLY recommend this tip.
Alopecia areata often starts suddenly and causes patchy hair loss in children and young adults. This condition may result in complete baldness (alopecia totalis). But in about 90% of people with the condition, the hair returns within a few years.
First, I’m going to trace back the current “understanding” of male pattern baldness. What do the masses believe is the cause of hair loss, and why do they believe it? Where did that information come from and who wins from this dogmatic view, while others lose?
Hi! I just got engaged, and I’m trying g to grow my hair back out to my waist where it used to be. I have about a year and seven months, and I want my hair back!! It’s to my Hawking now, so I’d say it’s about a fourth of the way there, and with an average of about six inches a year it’d be close but I’m really hoping you can recommend something to help me! My hair is naturally really fine but it’s strong and healthy! Please help!
Biotin, also known as Vitamin H, forms a part of the B-complex group of vitamins that help turn food into fuel for energy. It also assists in the metabolism of fats, carbs and amino acids which are the building blocks of protein.
Lose the hair extensions they severly damage your hair.get a good proffesional shampoo/conditioner from a good salon Hair Cuttery has great products. Also get a leave in conditioner. Its a ten from Hair Cuttery ia awesome. Deep.condition once a week. Do not use hot styling products on your hair until it is healthy again. Then limit use of hot stlyling tools.I have baby fine blonde (healthy) hair now. But I went thru my madonna phase.id color my hair differant colors every month. It started breaking off falling out. Your only 17 you can change your hair to healthy again. Don’t dry completely leave kind of damp and put a proffesional leave in conditioner in. Eat a healthy diet and condition the Heck out of your hair. Don’t trim often unless you notice split ends. Those can not be corrected by shampoos or conditioners.Only a tri Will get rid of splits. And please be patient. It took awhile to damage it, it will take a whil to get it healthy again kiddo. Lose the extensions !!!!!!!
Hi Charity. It sounds like your hair needs some nourishment! All is not lost, though, coconut oil should soon sort you out. I’d recommend using coconut oil a few times a week, regular trims (to keep your hair healthy and from splitting, which will lead to it shortening) and finally the inversion method to stimulate hair growth. I hope this helps 🙂
Sangeetha… I have fine blond hair. I have tried 100’s of products. Some hairdressers over process. (if you ask for a weave, ask for 5 foils, not a partial or full weave) avoid over processing. And, do not use that hot flat iron on your hair.
Hello, I just found your blog and was interested in your thoughts. My hair seems grows pretty fast, I’ve had it short for the past 4 years and the cut usually gets messy after about 8 weeks. This drives me nuts, previously I always had long hair and found it easier to manage. Now I want to grow it out quickly and I’ve noted your comments on coconut, argon and olive oils but was curious as I’ve seen no one mention cold pressed castor oil. I’ve found this fantastic for my eyelashes and started using it for its rejuvenating and growing properties. I would have thought the properties in it that are useful for lashes ie the nutrients and folicle stimulation would work the same with hair. The cold pressed castor oil seems to be valued higher for eyelash growth than the other three oils that are mentioned here for hair. Just wondering, lol, discuss.
Instant hair thickeners are becoming widely available. Coloured sprays and creams can be used to colour the scalp and give the appearance of thicker hair. Another option is Nanogen, tiny keratin fibres which bind to your hair making it thicker, but wash off easily. These are a more flexible solution that transplants.
Hi Smita, Great to hear you are going to try the inversion method, let me know how it goes and don’t forget to measure it before and after. I don’t have any pics but I am definitely going to take some the next time I do the inversion method and add them to this post. I also get a lot of hair loss, try massaging very lightly and reduce the amount of times you wash your hair every week. Perhaps try washing your hair every 2 days?
Hi E.H. The inversion method can dramatically increase the rate of hair growth, however, results vary from person to person. I’d say it will take a few months at least to grow your hair back, but it would take much longer without the inversion method! Good luck 🙂
Cosmetic procedures, such as shampooing too often, perms, bleaching, and dyeing hair can contribute to overall hair thinning by making hair weak and brittle. Tight braiding, using rollers or hot curlers, and running hair picks through tight curls can also damage and break hair. However, these procedures don’t cause baldness. In most instances hair grows back normally if the source of the problem is removed. Still, severe damage to the hair or scalp sometimes causes permanent bald patches.
Hi Rebecca SO pleased that you’ve benefitted from the tips in the article! I can’t recommend both coconut oil and scalp massage enough – they work absolute wonders for your hair health. So happy for you, just a bit of commitment and you really can see an improvement. Thanks for leaving such a lengthy comment, really made my day and I will try the mask with yogurt and honey too. All the best with your hair journey! Anushka
Hi there, Really keen to try your recipe for longer hair! Just wanted to ask with regards to the massage for 5min for 7 days (no longer no less) …. is this on a fortnightly basis, monthly? Look for to your response.
Getting regular trims gives you the appearance of having thicker hair. In the long run, regularly trimming the hair also helps your hair grow healthy from root to tip. This is also among the most amazing tips on how to grow thick hair naturally at home in one month that I would like to share in the entire article today and people should not skip at all costs!
Most chemotherapy drugs work by attacking fast-replicating cells. Rapid cell replication is one of the hallmarks of cancer; however, hair follicle cells also grow and divide quickly. Consequently, the chemotherapy drugs usually inhibit hair growth. The dose and type of medicine determine the severity of hair loss, but once the chemotherapy has ended, new hair growth may begin after three to 10 weeks.
“Others are taking hair follicles out of human scalp and growing them with dermal papilla cells,” Cotsarelis says. “If they grow in culture, you might be able to recombine them with skin cells and form new follicles. This would let you expand the number of follicles you get for a hair transplant. This may not be that far off — five to 10 years, maybe. There’s very good evidence you will be able to do that.”
Hello, I have been struggling with my hair for about 4 months now. Back in May I had decided to go back to my natural hair color from being platinum blonde. My natural is an ashy dark dirty blonde. Unfortunately doing it at home was my first mistake, and I ended up with red hair. I went to my old high school which has a salon with students working in it, which was my second mistake. They got my hair to a more manageable color but cut off around 3-4 inches when I only wanted 1 inch off. I was devastated.. and my hair was very very dry and thin and lifeless everywhere except about 5 inches on the top of my head. Since then I have added a lot more blonde highlights to get closer to my natural color as it wasn’t going a weird orange red color from the previous red dye. It has gotten a lot more moisturized and feels much less dry since then, but regardless is still very stringy and lifeless looking and very hard to style and maintain volume. The natural state of my hair has never been very volumous , but when I had bleached it the texture changed and it felt a lot thicker. I desperately want that hair back but cannot bleach my hair in this state.. so the only thing I can really do is grow it all out again till I have my natural 100% hair back to bleach it again , with caution to have minimal damage. I have been taking hairbrush vitamins, a b-complex vitamin, as well as trying to drink more water and eat more of the right foods. I’ve also recently started doing a castor oil and coconut oil leave in treatment, which has made it feel stronger. Do you have any advice for me? I am just so desperate to feel some weight to my hair.. it feels like air when I move my head back and forth and doesn’t even feel like it’s there. I also have parts on the top of my head on the right side that got burned off from bleaching back in January this year, they have grown about 6 inches out now but look very odd and stick out unless I straighten them with light heat. I don’t straighten any other parts of my hair anymore as I used to every day and that definitely contributed to the damage I face now. I used to have such beautiful long healthy hair and my confidence has mostly diminished because of all this. I am just desperate to feel like myself again. Thank you for taking the time to read 🙂
You can also make a hydrating hair mask by mixing two tablespoons of wheatgerm oil with half of a ripe mashed avocado. Apply this hair mask on freshly shampooed hair and allow it to sit for at least 20 minutes.
The human body is completely covered with hair follicles, except on the palms of the hands, soles of the feet and the lips. Mostly, hair follicles are tiny, and the hairs they produce don’t grow long enough to protrude from the pore.
now my hairs are strong, thick, and shiny….all my friends ask me what did you use??? but I keep it secret…and now I can happiely leave my hairs loose….and move out for a party, shopping and do much more….try it …
Hi there, if your hair is greasy then I wouldn’t recommend using the oil every day – maybe just once a week and you only need the smallest amount. You can do the inversion method without oil – just gently massage your scalp every day for the 7 days. In terms of washing your hair, try to use a small amount of product and use luke warm water to rinse your hair. I hope this helps.
Hi Meredith. Sorry to hear you were having trouble with your hair. We often forget just how fragile it can be – it’s really important to look after it! I’m so glad to hear our tips have been helping you out. Here’s to many more years of a happy head of hair!
Hi Thahani. We’ve actually never heard of this method before, so can’t speak from personal experience. However it looks like fenugreek seeds would be super nourishing for your hair, so you could give it a go. It definitely won’t do your hair any harm! 🙂
Hi Anushka, thanks for this article. I’ve had a really good read through and I’m currently waiting for my jelly to set in the fridge (any excuse to eat my favourite dessert) after using the inversion method with coconut oil. My hair is incredibly thick and there is lots and lots of it, my issue is that it grows out and not down! So frustrating! I’m getting married in December and I’m trying to grow out my hair for the big day. My 20 year old daughter (who has beautiful long, blonde hair) and my fiancé (who is folicley challenged) think I will get it cut before the day. I really want to prove them wrong so I’m keeping my fingers crossed that this works xxxx
Autoimmune disease may cause alopecia areata. In alopecia areata, the immune system revs up for unknown reasons and affects the hair follicles. In most people with alopecia areata, the hair grows back, although it may temporarily be very fine and possibly a lighter color before normal coloration and thickness return.
I am working as a lawyer and my personal experience, i am bit happy with NuHairRx serum with the final result after six months of usage. If you want to style your hair thicker then try to use NuhairRx serum which is comfort you to get growing and thicker hair naturally.
If you guys want really thick hair in about 2 months (depending on your hair composition like porosity, texture, and oil levels) I suggest using herbs like rosemary, powdered oak, and nutmeg for oily hair, oils like cactus oil, castor oil, olive oil, and sesame oil for dry hair, and a hair mask of 1 egg white, full onion, and 2 tbs olive oil blended together for normal hair!
Hi Emma. Unfortunately, these are baby hairs. I too have bad ones at the front and despite everything I’ve tried, they won’t seem to grow or go! My best suggestion is using hairspray/other products to keep them neatly in place. I’ve found using a volumizing mousse before blow-drying off my forehead seems to work best.
Caviar Treatment Omega+ Nourishing Oil is amazing. It has a concentrated dose of Omega-3 and C22 Fatty Acids that deeply nourish hair while adding intense shine. This results in smooth, silky soft and shiny hair.
