Hi there Twinkle, Sorry to hear you’re frustrated with your hair. I know how it feels when all you want is it to grow yet it’s going nowhere! Have you tried the Inversion Method yet? It takes a bit of effort, but it worked wonders for me and I’m sure it could for you too. I hope this helps. 🙂
Hi Emily, thanks for getting in touch. I would definitely do the inversion method using a scalp massager every 4 weeks. I can’t think of anything more to add to the list, but I like to take in Biotin rich foods through a smoothie in the morning as it’s absorbed by your body at a faster rate. I mix a handful of spinach and kale with half a banana, 1/4 avocado, almonds and brazil nuts. I always make sure I eat a protion of brocolli every other day. Some people recommend pumpkin seed oil for hair growth – I have not tried it myself but many blogger swear by it.
Both are reasonably priced so make sure you eat at least one portion of either once a day and you’ll start to notice not only a healthier bowel, but you skin hair and nails should look better than ever.
Hi. Thank you so much for the advice but I was wondering. Did you only use it on the scalp at the roots or do you do all of your hair? How much oil did you use? How much almond oil do you mix with the castor oil? Sorry to bombard you with questions I hope you don’t mind.
My favorite thing about the color is my guest’s ability to try different pastel tones as she wishes. The beauty of pastels now is that the more faded they get, the more fashion-forward your hair looks. The cut gives her styling flexibility. She can wear it smooth, textured, tucked behind one ear, or pushed back away from the forehead.
You can buy grass-fed gelatin as a supplement that can be added to hot and room temperature drinks. Great Lakes have an affordable range and can be bought from Amazon. Simply add a teaspoon to your morning tea or coffee.
Hi Meredith. Sorry to hear you were having trouble with your hair. We often forget just how fragile it can be – it’s really important to look after it! I’m so glad to hear our tips have been helping you out. Here’s to many more years of a happy head of hair!
Oils rich in different fatty acid species have been used extensively in both animal and human studies to evaluate the effects on skin and hair health, while there is strong evidence that supports certain vitamins for hair growth.
Your scrunchie-busting hair can be a hazard: One of our editors had an elastic fail dramatically while on a date. Her cascading waves would have had that sexy librarian-letting-her-hair-down vibe if the errant hair tie hadn’t ended up in the dude’s wine glass.
Closed pores are far less vulnerable than open pores so by washing your hair in cold water you’ll help protect your scalp from dirt, grease and oil. If pores are sealed then your hair is more likely to be stronger and shed less. This one step can make a huge difference.
My experience using coconut oil is really good, I just love it! It’s just soo mositurizing and conditioning I apply it twice a week and my hair is perfect and very healthy. But only applying oils wont help if we also eat healthy food that will help us alot more! Like foods rich in Omega 3 fatty acids, ex: Flaxseed. Foods also rich in Vitamin B6 and B7 are good for hair and vitamin E and C for strong hair!
Sometimes hair loss is due to a vitamin deficiency too. Luckily, a deficiency can be corrected by adding vitamin-rich foods to your diet or using supplementation. Some vitamins have antioxidant properties that help to fight the extrinsic factors of hair loss, and some vitamins help the body balance hormone levels, another factor that stops hair growth.
And why is it so important to know if your hair is thick and dense? You’ll be able to pick the right products to really enhance your hair. “If you have curly hair you can also use products that have too much sulfates which and would ultimately dry hair even more and leave it quite lifeless. With straight hair, you can use ion and voluimizing shampoo in the wrong way and end up with really greasy hair. So, not knowing how your hair really behaves can often have a negative impact on your hair,” explains François.

I got my hair cut into a pixi cut last SUMMER! now only may do i have a half bob. GIVE ME HELp cause i cant buy any of these things and i desperatly need help. Can you estimate how long (in months ) itll take to get my hair to my shoulders?
Like many of my follicly challenged brothers, I can remember the exact time I started losing my hair. You may not believe it to look at my proudly gleaming forehead now, but I used to have long hair down to my chin, which I’d often dye black or beautiful, shimmering obsidian, which was the fashion at the time (for people into Linkin Park). Yet, slowly but surely, the long black or shimmering obsidian hairs would start piling up on my pillow every morning, and in an act of defiance against what I considered my own biological inferiority, I shaved it all off, and have had a skinhead ever since.
To put it plainly, thick refers to the actual width of a single strand of hair, while density is how closely packed the hair follicles are on your scalp. Hair can have high density, which is when there’s a lot of strands growing near each other, or have low density, which is when the follicles are more spaced out on the scalp. Usually, straight strands tend to be denser than tight curls or afro hair.
Hi Paru, sorry to hear about this! I know it can be especially troubling. Please follow the tips and advice found in the article, it would be great if you could include protein rich food in your diet and also try the inversion method. Good luck,I hope it works for you.
Hi Cindy I’m not too sure really it depends on your normal hair growth rate and whether these tips personally work for you.Why don’t you give them a go and make sure you keep a record of your length of hair every few weeks?
Hi I’m jamaican..will the method work with my hair . I had beautiful hair once but I cought Dandruff’s and it droped off and after years of doctors treatment and everything it won’t grow so what will I suggest. Its been like this for 7 years now

These remedies do work! I apply beaten eggs to my hair once every week and olive oil works wonders too! Adding a few cloves of garlic to the olive oil for a week or two before you use it makes it even better! I have thick long brown hair which reaches just past my waistline. And I’m 5’8, so well you can guess how long that must be. 🙂
Hi Anushka I hope I spelled your name correctly. I turned 61 in July and 2017 I had 13 inches of long dark brown gray hair and I’m looking forward in starting you’re method in helping growing my hair long and strong. I’LL keep you and the lady’s posted. Sincerely Robert
Because of aloe vera’s antibacterial and antifungal properties, it also helps eliminate dandruff — perfect for people who want fuller hair and want to know how to get rid of dandruff — and the gel’s enzymes can rid the scalp of dead cells and promote the regeneration of skin tissue around the hair follicles.
My advice for someone who is considering this look is to not be deceived by it. It is a classic style that will be easy to maintain and style. It can be customized depending on length and fringe, and both can easily transform this look to match face shape. The color placement is meant to give a natural, sunkissed look that is low maintenance.
Some of the products are hair growth-stimulating shampoos, and others have a more complicated application process that requires you to sit with the product on your head and allow it to work. Do some research to figure out which is right for your needs.
I recommend this look to anyone that would like a change without having to commit to high maintenance upkeep. This look is very flattering for many face shapes and since it is so easy to maintain, can work for many lifestyles.
Remember – ‘Inversion’ is when your heart is positioned higher than your head. Inversion poses and twists are commonly found in yoga practises and are safe to perform, but if you feel dizzy or light-headed stop immediately.
Hi Katherine, you don’t have to use coconut oil no. You can use a good hair conditioner or even a touch of olive oil. It makes it easier to massage your scalp, and also provides a good conditioning treatment at the same time.
