I wish my hair daily because I am a blonde and I workout most days of the week so my hair gets drenched in sweat (it’s not ideal) but I only shampoo the roots and hold the rest out of the way. I use regular conditioner and also leave in conditioner.

Hi Suzanne! Thanks for your comments, I’ve had a short hair cut and while it was a nice change I did find it incredibly hard to manage! I am a big fan of oils, in general, to be honest, I agree cold pressed castor oil is fantastic for eyelashes and hair but in my personal experience I didn’t find that it worked better or less than coconut or olive oil. But, having said that I do know people who swear by it. I would say it’s not an exact science so whichever you prefer and works for you. I like to get mini bottles wherever possible and figure out what works for me.

Hi Katie. Firstly, now you’ve got some length back, it’s imperative that you keep your hair in good condition. This means, regular cuts, and nourishing hair treatments (coconut oil, natural masks etc). Hi Em, I can only recommend the Inversion Method which states you should massage for 7 days every 4 weeks. Scalp massage is always beneficial, but for rapid growth I think you should stick to the 7 days and see how it works for you. Cutting out heat and eating a rich protein diet will certainly help.
Remember – ‘Inversion’ is when your heart is positioned higher than your head. Inversion poses and twists are commonly found in yoga practises and are safe to perform, but if you feel dizzy or light-headed stop immediately.

I’ve heard before that you can use Vitamin E oil in shampoo in your hair to help it detangle and I’ve also heard that you can use it on a scar or something like that in order to thin the blood a little and make it heal faster so that would definitely help blood flow, so if there’s no other underlying medical issues do you think it would be okay to use Vitamin E oil mixed with coconut oil for the inversion method to induce more blood flow to the hair follicles

Hi Maddie, sorry to hear about your split end woes. I can sympathise because my hair can be very weak and often starts splitting after just one use of the hair straighteners! I would suggest getting a proper trim at your hairdressers to get rid of as many dead ends as possible. Then you can start afresh with your new haircare routine. Follow the tips in the article – eat plenty of protein rich foods, use luke warm water, try the inversion method, use a good oil maybe once a week. This should all help improve the condition of your hair if nothing else.

You can also use a mixture of egg yolk, olive oil, and water to gather results of thicker hair. The three should be mixed well and applied all over dry hair. The speed at which your hair grows can depend on two things: genetics and the shape of your follicles. Asian hair is on average the thickest and most coarse hair compared to Caucasian and African hair. Now I am of Asian descent but my mother has very thin hair while my father has very thick hair. I have a combination of both their hair so I have thick hair strands but unfortunately not much of them!
A human study conducted in 2015 investigated the clinical efficacy of rosemary oil in the treatment of androgenetic alopecia. Patients with androgenetic alopecia were treated for six months with either rosemary oil or minoxidil (2 percent), which served as a the control group. Minoxidil is a medication used to stimulate hair growth and slow balding.
It’s still not entirely clear how minoxidil works. And there’s disagreement about how well it works. Used properly — twice a day, massaged deep into the scalp — it slows new hair loss. It also promotes new hair growth, although experts disagree about how much.
While you’re doing it make sure you are tipping your head over slightly so it’s hanging over. Sitting on a chair and bending your head over works very well. By doing this, you’re encouraging the blood to flow to your head and are stimulating your hair follicles to encourage the Anagen stage.
Thick hair is something more people would like to have. Whether your hair is long or short, having thick hair just seems to look better.
