About the inversion method, why can you only do it for a week? I am looking to grow my hair out and am wondering if you can do it for several weeks for more length. Also, does this method generally seem to work with growing brand new hairs, or just current hairs?
Hi there, thanks for your message. With the inversion method you can sit on a chair and just tip your head forward and over so your hair falls forward – you can then start massaging your head. If you feel lightheaded or dizzy then stop immediately. You can eat plenty of food that’s good for hair growth such as spinach and nuts. To get your hair back to good health I can recommend using coconut oil on your scalp and through the lengths of your hair – you only need a small amount to really inject some moisture into your hair.
I have also started the regimen based on your answer; however, I’ve applied the rosemary oil topically. I’ve heard that ingesting essential oils could be harmful, especially if they’re not labeled “therapeutic”. Do you have any comments, opinions or research regarding this?
Hi Mal, thanks for getting in touch! Getting regular trims are essential for healthy hair growth, plus if your hair is dry and split ended then it’ll only appear shorter even if it is growing. I would get a trim about 1-2 inches to tidy up your ends then use a moisturising oil on your hair every week. Are you using hot tools and how often are you washing your hair?

I’ve had a really good read through and I’m currently waiting for my jelly to set in the fridge (any excuse to eat my favourite dessert) after using the inversion method with coconut oil. My hair is incredibly thick and there is lots and lots of it, my issue is that it grows out and not down! So frustrating! I’m getting married in December and I’m trying to grow out my hair for the big day. My 20 year old daughter (who has beautiful long, blonde hair) and my fiancé (who is folicley challenged) think I will get it cut before the day. I really want to prove them wrong so I’m keeping my fingers crossed that this works xxxx

If you use the inversion method and massage every other day with coconut oil without breaking for four weeks in between treatments until your hair is your desired length will it stop working after awhile or damage your hair? To use coconut oil for getting thicker hair naturally, massage a bit of warmed coconut oil into the scalp and hair and cover with a hot towel. Get the towel hot by running it under hot water and ringing out all excess water. This will ensure that the oil stays heated while penetrating the hair shaft. Leave this on for thirty minutes and then rinse and wash with a mild shampoo. This can be repeated every few days to get hair that is both thicker and healthier.
