Hi I have followed the inversion method and massaged coconut oil into m hair 2 times a week… My hair grew 2.5 inches within 2 months of continuous routine. Thank you soooo much. These tips realy are true!!!!!
Congratulations Morgan! There are a few tips in the article that will definitely help with your hair growth. I would recommend trying the inversion method every few weeks and making sure you have a Biotin-rich diet – eggs, salmon, almonds, walnuts etc. You can get more information from the article itself. Good luck and let me know how you get on.
On the 20th of December 2017, I was playing with my short, dried hair (which was on average 1 inch) in the front of my head but I accidentally tangled it so bad that I had to cut it off with a pair of stationnary scissors. It is very noticeable when I have a high ponytail but you can’t see it when I have a low ponytail when it is split down the middle. Luckily it’s quite small (2.5cmx1.5cm) but I’m scared that it might not grow back. Do you think it will grow back and if so, what do you recommend for my hair?
This article was really helpful for my hair growth. Thanks a lot anushka. Your article was so interesting and I hope you would make more articles like this. This article was very meaningful and I love it! Thanks a lot!
Hi Julia, sorry to hear that. For the time being I would try not to concentrate on hair growth and more about treating your hair well and getting it back to good health. I would eat plenty of protein-rich foods, treat your hair to a weekly hair mask on the ends and gentle scalp massage. Try not to use any heated tools on your hair, and wash it using lukewarm water – avoid burning hot water – and your hair should be feeling better soon.
Hi Yvette, good luck with the tips in this article. I hope they work out for you! It’s hard to recommend a shampoo or conditioner as everyone is different and has different concerns and hair types. Generally a good quality haircare product will suffice when following these types, just make sure you use the right amount and give your hair a cold blast of water after washing.
Alopecia is a hair loss disease that can occur in anyone at any stage of life. Specifically Alopecia areata is an autoimmune disease that causes hair to spontaneously fall out. It is mainly characterized by bald patches on the scalp or other parts of the body, and can ultimately cause baldness across the entire body. This disease interferes with the hair growth cycle by causing a follicle to prematurely leave the anagen, or active growth, phase and enter the resting, or telogen phase. The hair growth in the affected follicles is lessened or stopped completely.
Use a “dry shampoo” to treat your hair in between washes. It keeps it looking fresh and has the added benefit of making hair look thicker. Dry shampoo is a powder you can comb through your hair, especially around the roots, between washings.

According to the study, released in the Biomaterials journal last Thursday, the breakthrough came after the scientists successfully mass-produced “hair follicle germs” (HFG) which were created for the first time ever in this way.
We are born with the total amount of hair follicles we will ever have over our lifetime. There may be about 5 million on our body, but our head has about 100,000 follicles. As we age, some follicles stop producing hair, which is how baldness or hair thinning occurs.
Studies are still new on the effects of caffeine on hair growth, but a cell study found that caffeine may have growth-promoting effects on hair. Using hair products with caffeine, like this shampoo by AB Crew, as an ingredient may help.
Hi there, sorry to hear that. I’m afraid I don’t know too much about this condition, but scalp massage will certainly helps stimulate the follicles. Please give it a go and see how you get on, if in any doubt though please see a doctor for professional help.
Hair grows everywhere on the human skin except on the palms of our hands and the soles of our feet, but many hairs are so fine they’re virtually invisible. Hair is made up of a protein called keratin that is produced in hair follicles in the outer layer of skin. As follicles produce new hair cells, old cells are being pushed out through the surface of the skin at the rate of about six inches a year. The hair you can see is actually a string of dead keratin cells. The average adult head has about 100,000 to 150,000 hairs and loses up to 100 of them a day; finding a few stray hairs on your hairbrush is not necessarily cause for alarm.
I think that they should because all of these things provide nutrients to your hair and your scalp is very needy so you just have to be careful. I have been in the Beauty Industry for over 30 years and coconut oil should work the most;I HIGHLY recommend this tip.
Hi my name is Angie and my hasn’t grown in 2 years and nothing seems to be working my hair dresser says it is really healthy to and I have curly African Caucasian hair and I need ur help! I have tried everything!
Hi maria..I just read your question about where to find amla in US. I too am in US and I buy it from any local Indian/Pakistani (ethnic) grocer/store. You can easily find different brands of amla oil, also whole dried amla and amla powder as well. You can include all of this in your hair care regimen. Hope this helps.

Researchers have found that the active compound stimulates human hair follicles to grow by targeting a protein that usually puts the breaks on. Publishing their results in the journal Plos Biology, they hope that it can now be developed into a form that could be used to treat alopecia.
This form of hair loss can also be associated with other medical conditions like coronary heart disease and prostate problems for men, as well as hormonal imbalances in women, according to the National Institutes of Health.
Hi Meredith. Sorry to hear you were having trouble with your hair. We often forget just how fragile it can be – it’s really important to look after it! I’m so glad to hear our tips have been helping you out. Here’s to many more years of a happy head of hair!
For this client, we balayaged caramel pieces around her face then gave her lots of layers blending down from the fringe. For styling, we used a smoothing cream to help blow dry and control frizz and added Unite’s Boosta Spray for a little body while blow drying. I then went back in with Unite’s Argan Oil to smooth any flyaways and gave her a loose beachy wave. We finished with a spray wax to tousle and give that lived-in look.
I have tried Rosemary oil and has done wonders. I also mix apple cider vinegar with aloevera and add it to my hair while I shampoo. After shampooing, I towel dry and add morocoon oil just few drops….this makes the hair smooth and removes frizz.
Scalp scientist (trichologist) Shirley McDonald recently told Business Insider that other cosmetic fixes like hair transplants are getting much better, and instead of looking like “doll’s hair,” as they used to, they’re getting quite convincing.
But aloe vera juice is also great for thickening your hair, so you’ll see a lot of natural hair shampoos and conditioners today that have aloe vera in the ingredients. Aloe vera has tons of vitamins and minerals that are present keep your hair strong and healthy. Because of aloe vera’s antibacterial and antifungal properties, it also helps with dandruff, and the gel’s enzymes can rid the scalp of dead cells and promote the regeneration of skin tissue around the hair follicles.
Hi Airyeez, thanks for taking the time to write to me and sharing your thoughts on the article and the tips. I recommend the inversion method a lot (even though I can’t guarantee it will work for everyone) because it’s free, it’s easy to do and it worked for me. I think it’s fairly easy to try out, and there is no cost involved if you do it without oil, so it is my go-to tip! I firmly believe diet is really important too which is why I ask people to follow the tips in the article – some people may not be able to implement all but diet and scalp massage is really beneficial not just for hair growth but healthy hair and body. Good luck with your hair growth, I really hope you’ll notice a difference. Please keep me updated!
Just thinking about the money I’ve saved on going to the barbers alone makes me weep with a weird, nonsensical pride that I can’t grow my hair any longer than Krusty The Clown-style sidebushes. Every time I need a haircut I just get a mirror and my clippers, and go at it – which is quick, painless and involves zero awkward chat with a hairdresser.
Hi there I have purchased the Lee Stafford hair growth treatment and leave in conditioner. I am just wondering what the best way to use the treatment is? It says to use in between shampoo and conditioner? Is this best way to use it or do you advise putting the treatment in and leaving overnight before shampooing etc the next morning? Thanks
When your hair is dry, do a dry brush from the head downward once every day. Use a wooden bristle brush that stimulates the scalp and pulls the natural oils produced at the top of the head down to the ends. This will naturally hydrate your hair.
Taking aloe vera juice internally for starters is one of the things I recommend, so drink about a half a cup, twice a day. Now you can buy aloe vera juice in small proportions, but I found, bang for your buck, getting a whole gallon of aloe vera juice is the better way to go. Beyond thickening your hair, it’ll also give you healthier skin and nails.
instesd of using amla oil.. it would be better to include amla(gooseberry) in your diet as it will also provide many other benifits like its good for eyes and many more.so i will suggest you to use amla powder and consume amla . hope you will like it. thanks 🙂

Comprised mainly of smaller medium-chain fatty acids, the oil is also able to penetrate more deeply and faster than most other conditioners, and because it’s 100% natural you can use it as much as you like without any damage.
Often the most neglected yet important aspect of growing healthy hair is the vitality of the scalp. I found that maintaining the scalp and keeping it conditioned, invigorated, and inflammation-free is key. It’s easy to overlook the scalp; after all, it is hidden beneath a mane of hair, so dryness or irritation can be quite literally veiled. But the scalp is also prone to the elements you place on it, so principal consideration is generally to avoid overwashing. Washing two to three times per week was sufficient for me, which also helps maintain the scalp’s microbiome and leaves its natural sebum production intact.
Hi, i am Neha. I am very depressed by my hair health. When i was in school i had thick and long locks, but my hairs have come to its half thickness. Please let me know some tips which can help me gain my hairs back. Please help me.
Hi Ivyena. You can leave it on overnight under a shower cap if you wish, which will serve as a deeply-moisturising hair mask. However, I wouldn’t leave it on during the day. The oil will stain your clothes and can also make your hair look very greasy and unclean. I hope this helps 🙂
