If you leave coconut oil in your hair over night and put a hot towel over it, and then rinse it out in the morning and just use shampoo on the most part of your hair and then just a little bit of conditioner on your ends. Don’t towel dry your hair either cause that breaks your hair and makes it frizzy.
You don’t need to use all the products, but I highly recommend the leave-in conditioner and the treatment. The treatment can be used every time you massage your hair during the Inversion Method instead of a natural oil.

Hi maria..I just read your question about where to find amla in US. I too am in US and I buy it from any local Indian/Pakistani (ethnic) grocer/store. You can easily find different brands of amla oil, also whole dried amla and amla powder as well. You can include all of this in your hair care regimen. Hope this helps.

Well I tried the biotin thing to grow my hair which hasn’t worked and have bought some coconut oil but I’m only using it once a week also have started eating nuts as well. Have ordered some Lee Stafford hair growth stuff too I live in hope. I have had my hair cut short both sides because I had it in a style long one side short the other and I wanted it same both sides regret it massively now because I hate it so short.

My hair became thicker, shinier and grew faster when I went on a High Fat Low Carb Ketogenic diet with low starch, and no sugar. (Keyword “Dr. Eric Westman HFLC” on youtube to learn details.) I went on this diet to lose weight, and I lost 44 lbs. but at the same time, something changed regarding the suddenly much faster, thicker hair growth. It was a noticeable but welcome side effect. If you think about it, it makes sense. Hair is made of keratin which is protein and it becomes shiny and well moisturized because of nutritional fats and oils in the diet. Eating a bunch of sugar, and starchy carbs is not helpful to thick, shiny hair. Overconsumption of carbs leads to diabetes which causes hair loss. If you want your hair to grow, you need protein, oils and fats. Hair is damaged by heat from blow drying and hot irons and the natural oils are stripped out by soaps, surfactants and detergents. I also suggest brushing very very gently, starting at the tips and working back upwards to the scalp with a wide tooth hair pick, and do not brush 100 strokes at bed time or anything like that. I also suggest staying away from chemicals, perms, relaxers and weaves. Do not use cheap rubber bands, do not rip chop pull or tug, do not let the beautician “thin” your hair with shears, nor chop and cut. Instead, just give the beauty shop a rest while you focus on your nutritional status at home. If you see a woman with thinning hair, and you talk to her you will soon learn that they are typically type II diabetic and or “insulin resistant.” Men are a different tale because they may simply have male pattern baldness, but in woman there is one main cause for hair loss: diabetes. Many of these hair loss woman are typically overweight yet malnourished, with a non dewey, haggard and worn looking complexion. If you carefully observe such an overweight woman with thinning hair, you will see them eating candy, drinking soft drinks, eating potatoes, french fries, pasta, rice, breads, parties, chips, so on and so forth. The overwhelming carbohydrate load leads to all her problems: her obesity, her diabetes, her malnutrition, and her hair loss. Supplements I recommend for hair growth include Biotin, MCT oil, Multi B Complex vitamins and Omega 3 and D-3. I also don’t think washing the hair a whole lot is a great plan because strip the oils, and dries it out. Washing daily won’t really help the hair to grow, but if you must wash it, just sparingly soap the crown, and do it every second or third day. Personally, I like the “Agadir Argan Oil Shampoo, Conditioner and most of all the Spray Treatment to add shine and hydrate. Some people recommend coconut oil, but natural coconut oil becomes a solid mass at 74 degrees Fahrenheit. If you buy coconut oil, get fractionated coconut oil, so it will pour from the bottle as a liquid. I sometimes do use that, but I prefer Argan oil from Morocco, which I purchase cheaply in bulk. The least expensive is “Dr Adorable” purchased online from Amazon. All the supplements and vitamins I buy for myself are for sale on Amazon.com because I don’t have a car, so I have it all delivered in a box, to my door, with two day shipping. My was really good and healthy 3 years ago. with time I started ironing my and using heat a lot so my is thinning its weak and I also feel like its lifeless (although its not). I started growing it by using natural oils and it did work but my hair is naturally oily and it made more oily and greasy but I did not care because it worked but at some point my hair stopped responding to the natural oil treatments and i also tried watching my diet but I think I was doing it wrong. When I see my hair 3 years back it was so healthy it was not oily or greasy it was thick. I hope you can tell me about more treatments!!!

Hi Meredith. It sounds to me like the chlorine is definitely damaging your hair. Are you using a water-tight cap when swimming? Additionally, are you having it cut regularly? Chlorine will damage your hair, making it more prone to splitting. Regular haircuts will prevent this. I would recommend using a weekly hair treatment, such as coconut oil or a specific hair mask from LUSH to reinject nutrients back into your hair. I hope this helps. Thanks, Steph

Hi I am samjhana. I hav a big problem with my hair. My hair is so curly like I hav made it in the parlour but its real. My hair is so fizzy. There is too much hairfall and it doesn’t grow. 2 yrs ago I hav shoulder length hair then I cut it to thaicut hair. At the year end it became shoulder length but from then, I hav been waiting for 2 yrs but it doesn’t grow even 1cm.I hav tried many hair products suggested by many parlourists but nothing happened can u suggest me anything that works?
Hi Beth, it really depends on how thick and long your hair is. I use around half a teaspoon and I have mid-length hair to my shoulders. A little goes a long way though so I would just add a few drops/amounts at a time and massage in. You can always add more.
hey can someone give me like a good tip i am a guy and i have always had thin hair since my childhood but now and there i got like into girls and stuff haha and when i wanna style my hair in the way i want it i cant do it casue of my thin hair… how do i get thicker hair plx help!!!
Hi Em, I can only recommend the Inversion Method which states you should massage for 7 days every 4 weeks. Scalp massage is always beneficial, but for rapid growth I think you should stick to the 7 days and see how it works for you. Cutting out heat and eating a rich protein diet will certainly help.
You can also use a mixture of egg yolk, olive oil, and water to gather results of thicker hair. The three should be mixed well and applied all over dry hair. Leave this on for fifteen minutes and then rinse well followed by a light shampoo. Repeating this procedure a few times a week will offer results in a few weeks.

I think it’s fairly easy to try out, and there is no cost involved if you do it without oil, so it is my go-to tip! I firmly believe diet is really important too which is why I ask people to follow the tips in the article – some people may not be able to implement all but diet and scalp massage is really beneficial not just for hair growth but healthy hair and body.
