Hi Tracy, if you follow all the steps including the inversion method then you should see results after 1 week, but be sure to measure a section of your hair before and after. It doesn’t work for everyone so see how you get on.
I have recently had my hair bleached for the first time. I was not planning to do it, but it turned out that my hairdresser didn’t understand me. Half of my hair was bleached ( at the bottom), and some parts of my hair was bleached at the roots. Yesterday I noticed that the bleached parts were starting to break off, and I am very worried that eventually all of the hair that was bleached at the top will break off before new hair grows. If that would happen it would be terrible, since my hair is already thin and will look completely see-through. Will all the bleached hair break off?
Traction alopecia is caused by adding too much strain on the hair on one’s head. Tight ponytails and other styles that require added tension to the hair are often what cause this disease. It can also occur on the face in areas where the hair is often styled. Plucking or waxing one’s eyebrows frequently, for example, can yield suppressed hair growth in the area.
For thicker hair, I recommend using a thermal protectant or primer like Bumble and bumble Hairdressers Invisible Oil Primer to help smooth out the cuticle surface. This will add moisture and all the styling products to coat the outside of the hair shaft to allow for a better blow dry.
In news that will be mostly of no use to anyone but ennui-ridden middle-aged men now contemplating their lost youth in the wake of their own fading good looks, it looks like a potential cure for baldness has been found. Scientists from the University of Manchester used a drug originally intended to treat osteoporosis on samples containing scalp hair follicles from more than 40 male hair-transplant patients, and found that the drug had a impressive effect on hair follicles, reviving their ability to grow.
Styling hair straight keeps thicker hair looking skinny. If you’d like to wear it curly and still look skinny, just make sure not to expand the curls. Keep them close to your head for a subtle yet gorgeous result.
Hey! So… it might be a little too early to share my thoughts, because it’s been only a few days I read this things above, but somewhere in my unconsciousness I never really wanted to believe these tips work, because for example on youtube – where I spend half my life – there are so many videos about this, and they are so clickbait, and the uploaders basically advertise a lot of products as well if you know what I mean.. But your tutorial seemed legit to me, and I’ve read it from the first word to the last. So what I did was to buy… let me get them… uhm so here we go: HARKONTROLL BOOST that says it contains keratin, zink, koppar, (copper ???), niacin, pantotensyra, vitamin B6, and BIOTIN, I also bought B Active tablettes, that mentions TONS of vitamins on the container, and I bought some walnuts, pecans, and peanuts as well. Then the inversion method… I already did 4 days, so there is 3 more left, and in the first 2 days I did not actually hang my head down, I was just lying on the bed, and I don’t use coconut oil, I just applied some Garnier hair conditioner before the 5 minute massage… but I think the change is already visible. Also my hair is very short now, and during the last week I pushed it back with a beanie, but today when I got out of the shower I pulled my “bangs” down on my forehead, and I think it wasn’t that long a week ago. Keep in mind I have 3 days left of the inversion method, but since I decided to grow my hair long again, I will repeat the process in January. If I do so, I will share if I got good results
Hair grows everywhere on the human skin except on the palms of our hands and the soles of our feet, but many hairs are so fine they’re virtually invisible. Hair is made up of a protein called keratin that is produced in hair follicles in the outer layer of skin. As follicles produce new hair cells, old cells are being pushed out through the surface of the skin at the rate of about six inches a year. The hair you can see is actually a string of dead keratin cells. The average adult head has about 100,000 to 150,000 hairs and loses up to 100 of them a day; finding a few stray hairs on your hairbrush is not necessarily cause for alarm.
Hi Maria, There is no telling how your hair will react to the bleach, as everyone’s is different. However, it is unlikely that your har will split at the roots – it splits at the end as this is where hair is weakest. I would recommend putting as much nutrition back into it as possible by using a good-quality hair mask or coconut oil treatment. I hope this helps 🙂
On the 20th of December 2017, I was playing with my short, dried hair (which was on average 1 inch) in the front of my head but I accidentally tangled it so bad that I had to cut it off with a pair of stationnary scissors. It is very noticeable when I have a high ponytail but you can’t see it when I have a low ponytail when it is split down the middle. Luckily it’s quite small (2.5cmx1.5cm) but I’m scared that it might not grow back. Do you think it will grow back and if so, what do you recommend for my hair?
I had chemotherapy and radiation for tonsil cancer about 10 years ago and I can’t get my hair to grow no matter what I’ve tried. I was told to try coconut oil and a regrowth hair product. Will it work or any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated
If you guys want really thick hair in about 2 months (depending on your hair composition like porosity, texture, and oil levels) I suggest using herbs like rosemary, powdered oak, and nutmeg for oily hair, oils like cactus oil, castor oil, olive oil, and sesame oil for dry hair, and a hair mask of 1 egg white, full onion, and 2 tbs olive oil blended together for normal hair!
Apply to dry hair and work into scalp. Push it all up on your head and wait for 30 min. Then wash with a mild shampoo. You may have to wash twice. Then condition as usual. Towel dry. You will feel the difference, It shines, and feels thicker even the second day,. People comment. This is simple and healty, you won’t regret it.
And do I any look any worse? Well, guys don’t care if I’m bald or not. In fact, most guys I know either think I look way harder than I actually am, or come up to me and comment on how they wish they could shave all their hair off but can’t because they have decided to cling on to the dying embers of their hairline.
So can you almost garuntee that the methods will make my hair grow. Fast. I would like my hair to grow longer and i haven’t really found anything. But the oil massage seems interesting. And about how long do you think my hair would grow using your methods, and about how long will it take?
Hi Emily, thanks for getting in touch. I would definitely do the inversion method using a scalp massager every 4 weeks. I can’t think of anything more to add to the list, but I like to take in Biotin rich foods through a smoothie in the morning as it’s absorbed by your body at a faster rate. I mix a handful of spinach and kale with half a banana, 1/4 avocado, almonds and brazil nuts. I always make sure I eat a protion of brocolli every other day. Some people recommend pumpkin seed oil for hair growth – I have not tried it myself but many blogger swear by it.
I can also recommend using a wire scalp massager like the one below if you prefer. It’s a lot easier and won’t tire out your hands or fingers. Get one for as little as £1.92 from Amazon with free delivery.
Hi Julia, sorry to hear that. For the time being I would try not to concentrate on hair growth and more about treating your hair well and getting it back to good health. I would eat plenty of protein-rich foods, treat your hair to a weekly hair mask on the ends and gentle scalp massage. Try not to use any heated tools on your hair, and wash it using lukewarm water – avoid burning hot water – and your hair should be feeling better soon.
Vitamin B plays a large role in the health of your hair, and getting enough of it is essential to keeping thick hair and reducing how much you shed. Good sources of vitamin B include fruits, vegetables, nuts and brown rice, among others.
Hi Smita, Great to hear you are going to try the inversion method, let me know how it goes and don’t forget to measure it before and after. I don’t have any pics but I am definitely going to take some the next time I do the inversion method and add them to this post. I also get a lot of hair loss, try massaging very lightly and reduce the amount of times you wash your hair every week. Perhaps try washing your hair every 2 days?
“For individuals with hair loss, treatments can be very hit and miss, there isn’t one which is universally effective. For that reason new treatments are exciting as they give people more treatment options that may be effective.
hi Jenna, where did you buy fenugreek seeds in Spain? I’m living in Valencia Spain, I’m looking for this for a long time and I can’t find, I don’t know where to buy, could you please tell me where to buy…thanks

The body has different types of hair, including vellus hair and androgenic hair, each with its own type of cellular construction. The different construction gives the hair unique characteristics, serving specific purposes, mainly warmth and protection. Most humans develop the longest thickest hair on their scalps and (mostly observed in males) faces. This hair will usually grow to several feet before terminating, but many humans develop much longer hair.
Even though modern folklore, and even some limited scientific studies, have suggested that the mother’s side of the family is largely responsible for a genetic predisposition toward baldness, the truth is balding is not all our mothers’ fault. In fact, doctors now say baldness patterns are inherited from a combination of many genes on both sides of the family. There are some environmental factors that come into play, too.
Thankyou for sharing these helpful tips. I agree with the biotin thing, it works wonders for my hair. I also use curry powder and curd along with the onion juice to make my hair thick, long and bouncy. 🙂 Do check out my hair story as well.
According to a research about the effects of stress on your hair [2], stress can be one of the main causes of hair loss. So, you should try to calm down your life, and you will find that your hair starts growing thicker. For example, you can try meditation that may help you find how to deal with your stress better.
This is a high maintenance color that requires more commitment on the guest’s end. They must come into the salon for a retouch every four to five weeks. There is a point where the service becomes a project again instead of routine maintenance.
But through everything I learned, Lemon truly does help with hair growth. I can’t even describe it with the proper words it deserves. It leaves that soft, shining texture and color. it allows your hair to look free.. and… Just see for yourself, will you? And personally, i believe that one-day-over-ripe-day is the best way (:
