I’ve had a really good read through and I’m currently waiting for my jelly to set in the fridge (any excuse to eat my favourite dessert) after using the inversion method with coconut oil. My hair is incredibly thick and there is lots and lots of it, my issue is that it grows out and not down! So frustrating! I’m getting married in December and I’m trying to grow out my hair for the big day. My 20 year old daughter (who has beautiful long, blonde hair) and my fiancé (who is folicley challenged) think I will get it cut before the day. I really want to prove them wrong so I’m keeping my fingers crossed that this works xxxx
Hi, I’ve tried every method in this article, but my hair doesn’t seem to want to grow. My hair is super healthy, but it’s only growing as slow as it did before. I’ve been using these methods for about two months, and my hair has grown about 3/4 of an inch. I have not exposed my hair to heat products whatsoever, or any bleach or coloring products. I have also tried warm argan oil, which doesn’t seem to make it want to grow either. Are there any other methods that might help me??

Isn’t true that Biotin makes B5 absorption close to impossible? So taking a B Complex vitamin ensures that you get neither enough biotin, nor Vitamin B5, because they are mutually exclusive in terms of absorption.

Wear a swim cap in chlorinated pools. Have you ever had a stylist ask you if you’re a swimmer? Chlorine stays in hair and makes it visibly dry and damaged. Protect your hair in the pool, or be sure to wash it with a good shampoo before the chlorine dries.

There are limits to how thick any given person’s hair can get, but you can certainly increase the thickness of your hair. Using high-quality shampoo and conditioner, using coconut and/or castor oil (ideally left in overnight and then washed out – it could make your hair look greasy, so you might not want to have it in during the day), and getting good nutrition can all help. Hi Clare, You need to massage the oil into the roots of your hair to reap the full effects. It’s best to leave the oil on for a while in order to allow it to penetrate your hair follicles properly. I hope this helps 🙂
Your daily requirement is 30 micrograms so ensure you’re getting in the minimum by taking it in a supplement form which is commonly found in health stores like Holland & Barrett. If you prefer, you can eat foods that are naturally high in Biotin. I prefer to do this as the Biotin-rich foods will have many other body-boosting benefits, too such as stronger nails and eyelashes.
